On February 14th, 2021, the board members of the FPC along with several volunteers will be connecting with the homeless community in downtown Guelph, ON. After an outpouring of support during the Christmas season, many are left “forgotten” as the months pass. Financial burdens become increasingly difficult to manage after the holidays and the harsh winter temperatures add to the challenge.
Initiated by the realization for support, especially during the coldest months of the year, we will be joining Ed Pickersgill at ‘The BENCH’ on Valentine’s Day. FPC has collected donations and along with funding from Guelph Rotary Trillium, will be providing a to-go meal and valentine. Other essential items such as winter clothing, sleeping bags and gloves will be distributed as needed, along with warm socks, donated by “Socks for Souls Canada”.
Please read below in Guelph Today, about The Bench to learn more about the needs in our Community.
